Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a departure from Manchester United with their Premier League rivals having shown a lot of interest in his services, alongside Inter Milan. It had been reported earlier that while West Ham are ready to meet the Red Devils' £18 million ($22.9m) valuation, they are unable to match Wan-Bissaka's wage demands and the 26-year-old is open to but not keen on leaving Old Trafford this summer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

<a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/29689517/wan-bissaka-manchester-united-transfer-west-ham/" target="_blank">The Sun</a> has now reported that Wan-Bissaka is actively holding up the deal with West Ham. The England international's contract is set to end in less than 12 months and if he signs with a new club as a free agent he will 'bank a huge signing-on fee'. However, the 26-year-old is ready to leave the Red Devils if the club agrees to give him a chunk of the fee that they receive from the Hammers this summer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Since his move from Crystal Palace five years ago, the defender has been on the same £90,000-a-week contract at United and he is keen to get a substantial increase in wages that West Ham are unable to provide. The Hammers have had a busy transfer window so far under new manager Julen Lopetegui, having spent more than £100 million ($127.7 million) this summer.
