According to <a href="https://talksport.com/football/1958129/transfer-news-live-arsenal-man-united-liverpool-chelsea/" target="_blank">talkSPORT</a>, the Spanish side have had discussions with Chelsea about signing the England international, who is out of contract next summer. The report adds the 24-year-old has not been offered a new deal and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/conor-gallagher-tottenham-atletico-madrid-aston-villa-chelsea-seek-gbp50m-transfer/blt453e5afdb8efe5cf" target="_blank">Tottenham, Aston Villa</a> and more are still interested in the ex-Crystal Palace loanee.

WHAT HAPPENED?

According to <a href="https://as.com/futbol/primera/el-arsenal-de-arteta-se-cruza-en-el-camino-del-atletico-de-madrid-n/" target="_blank">AS</a>, Atletico made an initial offer worth €20 million (£17m/$22m) but have been told by Chelsea that they will have to increase that offer as the Blues are pushing for closer to double that figure for the 24-year-old.
