The England captain severed career-long ties with Premier League side Tottenham when <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-fee-bayern-munich-paid-harry-kane-100m-transfer-tottenham-england-striker/blt574fb10ccbd8169d " target="_blank">completing a €100 million (£88m/$109m) transfer</a> to the Allianz Arena. The Bundesliga champions knew what they were getting and have seen <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-how-harry-kane-land-250k-goal-bonus-bayern-munich-prolific-100m-striker-halfway-target/blte20b2b1427eb9106 " target="_blank">Kane score 21 goals through 16 appearances</a> in all competitions – with that haul including three hat-tricks.

WHAT HAPPENED?

While Kane is feeling at home in Germany, he is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/harry-kane-kate-bayern-munich-germany/blt2a7317256f45f956" target="_blank">yet to be joined by his young family</a>. The 30-year-old striker is far from fluent yet, but he is benefiting from having plenty of English speakers around him.

Kane admits that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/new-school-harry-kane-mad-bayern-munich-transfer-tottenham/blt0de4ec5b690d58b1" target="_blank">his language skills </a>have become a slow burner, with the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12766123/Arise-King-Kane-Harry-instant-favourite-Bayern-Munich.html " target="_blank">Daily Mail</a> claiming that he has taken in “around 10 sessions so far”. Bayern are keen for him to get a grasp of the native language in his new surroundings, allowing communication on and off the pitch to become easier.
