The Frenchman posted a meme from the popular UK show Love Island that shows a man smiling having said "Nah, I'm very sad, trust me."</p>

WHAT MAUPAY SAID

<p>Everton forward Maupay was not the only one cheering on Spain in the Euro 2024 final. Despite playing his football in England, he, alongside plenty of Scots, Welsh and Irishmen, were basking in the glory of La Roja and celebrating the Three Lions' downfall in Germany. </p>

<p>Maupay has just finished a loan spell with Brentford, where he spent plenty of time winding up his opponents. He had a well-documented <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-james-maddison-fuming-sh-thouse-neal-maupay-tottenham-darts-celebration-brentford/blt4b74bc896f3328f2" target="_blank">clash with Tottenham's James Maddison</a> in 2023-24 but will be playing his football away from London having returned to Everton on Merseyside.</p>
