Tebas claims to have spoken to Premier League sides about the case awaiting City. The reigning English champions face 115 charges for allegedly breaching financial rules, and their rivals apparently believe they should be punished.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The hearing into City's <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-start-date-man-city-115-charge-ffp-hearing-premier-league/blt1fbd32bdb681f2cc" target="_blank">alleged breaches will begin on Monday</a>. The charges <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/football-leaks-hacker-man-city-were-paid-money-not-mentioned-to-football-authorities-millions-of-documents/bltf5a9d33097c9b7cf" target="_blank">range from withholding information about player wages to hiding the true source of their revenue</a>. More importantly, possible punishments include points deductions, transfer bans and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-man-city-punished-premier-league-financial-investigation-points-deduction-relegation/bltc7ca39393f3ab5ed" target="_blank">even expulsion from the top flight</a>. And according to Tebas, Premier League clubs want City to be sanctioned.

"I have spoken with many Premier League clubs and most of them understand that City should be sanctioned," Tebas said. The president did go on to recall that "they were once acquitted by the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) for a formal matter."
