WHAT HAPPENED?

United appear to mean business in the transfer market under new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe. With Yoro and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/joshua-zirkzee-man-utd-bologna-gbp36m-transfer-old-trafford-ineos/blt7ea32762eb03c836" target="_blank">striker Joshua Zirkzee</a> already signed, recruiting either Ugarte or Zubimendi, 25, will be quite the coup for Erik ten Hag's men.

Zubimendi, whose contract at Sociedad runs until 2027, reportedly <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-rejected-martin-zubimendi-mikel-arteta-summer-transfer/blt47fe0e36f06a30d2" target="_blank">turned down the chance to move to Arsenal</a> earlier this summer. His stock may have gone up after helping Spain win the Euros this summer.
