Manchester United are finally set to get their man as Leny Yoro jets in for a medical, according to <a href="https://x.com/David_Ornstein/status/1813502801764385092" target="_blank">The Athletic</a>. The 18-year-old reportedly wanted to join Real Madrid but has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/lille-accept-leny-yoro-transfer-bid-man-utd-premier-league-giants-attempt-hijack-real-madrid-french-wonderkid/bltfee9b6f457f52502" target="_blank">accepted a move </a>to the Premier League is more realistic this summer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

It will be a big achievement for Mnchester United to get this deal done with Madrid lurking in the background. Erik ten Hag was happy to table a £52million (€61.9m/$67.8m) bid and meet the French club's asking price. Los Blancos were not willing to go as high as that, which resulted in Lille pushing Yoro towards United instead.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Yoro made 32 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring two goals as Lille finished fourth.
