Arteta said: "Declan was feeling something in his hamstring. So we didn't want to take any risks with the score at 3-0. Gabby was coming off a tackle I think on his knee and he was struggling a little bit. I hope it's nothing too serious."

WHAT ARTETA SAID

Despite the concerns, the Gunners boss was happy as his team ran out 5-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Gabriel and Leandro Trossard, an own goal from Dean Henderson and a double from Gabriel Martinelli."The positivity we had right from the beginning," the coach told TNT Sports. "I had a really good feeling in the last 10 days about the team and how they reacted. They are great players, we have a great team and today they really wanted it. I could feel that."

After losing their previous two league games, the win puts the London side two points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Arteta's team are in action again on January 30 when they meet Nottingham Forest in the league.
