The teenager was among a few pitch invaders who made their way onto the field in the early stages of the clash between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in June. The culprits wore t-shirts which had the logo of online Russian influencer Mellstroy - real name Andrey Burim - who had offered £300,000 to anyone who carried out the prank. The boy did not receive any payment from the streamer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The offender, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted that he was convinced to attend the final in an attempt to win the money. He was given a six-month conditional discharge by the Willesden Youth Court and has been ordered to pay a contribution towards prosecution costs.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The youngster, who admitted that he had no interest in football and had never attended a match before, told the court: "I just decided to do this kind of prank and I'm really sorry about that and I regret that. I think that it was a very futile decision."

WHAT THE OFFENDER SAID

The teenager is the second person to be convicted for invading the Wembley pitch. Yevhenii Lubnenko, 29, is the other, having been banned from football matches in the UK for three years. A third, David Carneckij, is due to stand trial on August 27.
