<p>Plymouth pulled off what many are calling the shock of the season in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie, as Morgan Whittaker's 82nd minute effort earned them a 1-0 away win. The win comes less than two weeks after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wayne-rooney-sacked-plymouth-nine-match-winless-run-man-utd-legend-leaves-pilgrims-rock-bottom-championship/blt4d751c637544f4b0" target="_blank">Rooney was sacked from his post as manager</a>, leaving them bottom of the Championship, and fans were quick to point out their sudden improvement since his departure.</p>

<p>Plymouth won just five of the 25 matches they played under Rooney before his dismissal on December 31.
