Alphonso Davies on the move?! Man Utd step up bid to sign full-back from Bayern Munich but Real Madrid still lead the race

<p>The Canada international is into the last year of his contract at Bayern and now <a href="https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/manchester-united-moechte-alphonso-davies-vom-fc-bayern-verpflichten/13240970/34130" target="_blank"><em>Sky Germany</em></a> claims negotiations over a new deal there are 'stalling'. The report adds <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-battle-real-madrid-for-free-signing-alphonso-davies-bayern-munich-contract-to-expire/blt938ee2a009cec219" target="_blank">United made an enquiry about the 23-year-old</a> earlier this month and their interest is becoming more concrete. However, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/real-madrid-alphonso-davies-bayern-munich-canada-kylian-mbappe/blte997d611a1ded9aa" target="_blank">Los Blancos still seem the favourites</a> to recruit the left-back when his contract expires next summer.</p>

<p>Davies has, arguably, proven to be one of the best left-backs in the world over the past few years and his contract situation has attracted the interest of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/barcelona-upset-real-madrid-man-utd-bayern-alphonso-davies-lead-race-jonathan-tah/blteb6135e6a9c2d030" target="_blank">Madrid, United, and Barcelona</a>, too. At the end of this season, he will be a free agent and will have a wealth of enticing options to choose from. </p>

<p>Davies' agent, Nick Huoseh, told <em>TSN Soccer</em> recently: "I will not throw insults around when discussing Alphonso's future. My priority is Alphonso's future. I have always said: If Bayern want to discuss something, we can talk about it in the boardroom."</p>

<p>Aside from transfer speculation on Davies' future, his Bayern side - who sit top of the Bundesliga - travel to basement team Bochum on Sunday afternoon, before rounding off October away at Mainz next Wednesday in the DFB-Pokal.</p>
