The Manchester City winger was not included in Gareth Southgate's squad for the European Championships after a poor season. Following his exclusion, Grealish has taken the chance to enjoy a holiday away with his girlfriend. However, it is not just a holiday and the Englishman has taken the chance to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-jack-grealish-training-juventus-england-snub/blt0eb19b9f25392dd4#csa1fe2eaa6a04fda6" target="_blank">work on his fitness</a>, sharing a couple of photos on his Instagram story.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In one Instagram post, Grealish shared he had been out running in 30 degree heat, showing he is fit and ready for the new season. He said: "Late night runs abroad. Nothing better."

WHAT GREALISH SAID

Grealish has plenty of work to do to reestablish himself in the Manchester City side. The £100 million player only provided four goal contributions in the Premier League last season and lost his place in the side to Jeremy Doku. He was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/germany-camp-england-star-euro-2024-squad-jack-grealish-gareth-southgate-prepares-opener/blt65fe944ce6a10266" target="_blank">understandably dropped from the England squad</a> and has responded by working on his fitness over the break, even <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-jack-grealish-training-juventus-england-snub/blt0eb19b9f25392dd4#csa1fe2eaa6a04fda6" target="_blank">training at the Juventus academy</a>.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Grealish will be aiming to return to the City side and become a key man for Pep Guardiola once again. The winger has taken the chance to work on his fitness after being snubbed from Southgate's England squad.
