WHAT HAPPENED?

Martino changed a few things around from Friday to Monday, with the most noticeable move being Julian Gressel into the midfield and Deandre Yedlin from central defense to right wing-back. The Herons struggled to create chances against El Salvador, so their thinking could be that Yedlin and Gressel will both overlap and opt for creative chances on the right side of the pitch.

Gressel recently won MLS Cup with the Columbus Crew in 2023, before signing with the Herons this offseason.
