However,<a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/antonin-kinsky-tottenham-goalkeeper-transfer-news-latest-b2673663.html" target="_self"> per the <em>Independent</em></a>, any potential move for the Israeli was halted after Neuer suffered an injury to his ribs, with the German giants unwilling to allow their deputy to leave amid uncertainty surrounding their number one. The north Londoners have instead signed Slavia Prague's Kinsky.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Spurs were always likely to dip into the transfer market after Vicario was ruled out for a significant time. Fraser Forster has struggled in place of the Italian, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/tottenham-gary-neville-mocks-ange-postecoglou-team-fraser-forster-blunders-gift-man-utd-goals-carabao-cup-clash/bltcb171dc9ef4b211a" target="_blank">notably with the ball at his feet</a>. Kinsky is a highly-rated 21-year-old and is known for his extravagance with the ball, often coming high and level with his centre-halves - far more suited to Ange Postecoglou's style of football than Forster.</p>

Spurs tore City apart and won the game 4-0, but the Italian's injury has created longer-term pain for Postecoglou.</p>
