WATCH THE CLIP

The sending off - appears - to be for something Horan said to the referee. The controversial shove between the players would not be sufficient enough to say it was violent conduct, and it appears the USWNT star spoke to the official during their discussion after. THE BIGGER PICTURE

The USWNT star and Lyon don't return to the UCL until the new year, so they will have time to both appeal the red card and prepare for a stint without the midfielder. They play St. Poulten on January 25, but have two league matches and a cup tie prior. As things stand, they remain first in their group, but Brann are now just three points behind them.
