Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Suoza has vowed to replace a fan's television after the supporter smashed it during the 2-1 Istanbul derby victory over Besiktas.
Five players were sent off in a heated contest, with a late penalty from on-loan Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen sealing victory for the hosts. Both sides ended the first-half with 10 men after Ricardo Quaresma picked up two yellow cards and Luis Neto received a straight red for a late challenge as the last defender.
Brazilian attacking midfielder Giuliano put Fener ahead from the penalty spot with Janssen doubling the score after Aykut Kocaman's side were awarded another spot kick, before former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel scored an 88th minute consolation goal.
The game ended with more red cards for both sides as Atiba Hutchinson and Oguzhan Ozyakup both picked up second yellow cards, while Ismail Koybasi's dangerous tackle saw him leave the game early.
Istanbul derbies are often passionate affairs, and this one proved no different as one Fenerbahce fan smashed his television during the game. However, upon seeing the video of the incident, Souza offered to buy the supporter a new TV set, writing on Twitter "the TV Owner worries me, I'm going to give you a new TV to watch the Fenerbahce games. but do not break the next."
With fans questioning his intentions, Souza then followed up his initial message with another confirming his offer: "please, I want the contact of the TV owner, I want to give him a new TV to watch the Fenerbahçe games. send me a message."
