With a week to go before the biggest kickoff in India, the stage is set for the country to live and enjoy the FIFA U-17 World Cup experience. Held across six venues, the mega-event will kick-off on October 6.
As is the tradition, the official world cup theme song 'Kar Ke Dikhla De Goal' was released earlier this month and while the music and video in the song were attractive in its own way, there is nothing better than a catchy fan-made attempt at a theme song. Goa-based budding music artist Akshada Bandekar did exactly that.
Titled 'One Dream', the song talks about the passion for the sport and how football can unite people to spread love and smiles. The song is written and composed by Akshada Bandekar with Aditya Malve and Harshvardhan Jain serving as the producers. It is mixed by Aditya Malve and mastered by Waves Kraft.
While it was initially released on the music-streaming app Soundcloud, Bandekar later uploaded a lyric-video of the song on Youtube, which you can watch below.
The country's capital New Delhi will host India's group league matches while fans in Kolkata will be able to catch the final. India have been grouped with USA, Ghana and Colombia in group A and will be starting their campaign on the first day itself.
'We play as one, we have one dream. To get it done, together as a team. We're gonna run that extra mile. Spread the love and spread the smiles.' Kudos, Akshada!
