Chelsea player ratings vs Manchester City: Lewis Hall shines bright as Trevoh Chalobah and Enzo Fernandez disappoint in another Blues defeat

Chelsea were unable to rain on Manchester City's parade as they were beaten 1-0 by the newly-crowned champions at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Wesley Fofana's awful pass unnecessarily surrendered possession deep in their own half, allowing City to hit them with pace and open the scoring through Julian Alvarez just 12 minutes into the match.

It was certainly not the worst performance the Blues have put in since Frank Lampard came in as interim coach, but there were too many underwhelming displays, with Enzo Fernandez and Trevoh Chalobah among those seriously disappointing once again.

At least the Blues can count Raheem Sterling, Lewis Hall and substitute Noni Madueke as bright spots, though, and the club's fans will be hoping their incoming coach will give the latter two in particular a chance to impress next season.
