<a href="https://onefootball.com/en/news/report-liverpool-face-competition-from-spurs-for-bundesliga-star-39273355" target="_blank">SportBild</a> reports that Liverpool are interested in a deal to sign Marmoush from Frankfurt in case they need to mitigate for losing Salah, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-mohamed-salah-100-percent-leave-summer-king-saudi-arabia/bltb142af6bbe6952e2" target="_blank">amid links with Saudi Arabian clubs this summer.</a> The Reds have been linked with <a href="https://www.caughtoffside.com/2024/03/30/liverpool-want-johan-bakayoko/" target="_blank">PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko,</a> but reports in Germany claim they also have an interest in the Egypt international, who would cost between €50 million (£42m/$54m) and €60m (£51m/$64m).

WHAT HAPPENED?

Marmoush has also been scouted by both Tottenham and Newcastle, with Spurs expected to make an offer for him this summer, per the report. Frankfurt are said to be willing to discuss a potential deal for the 25-year-old, who can play as both a central striker and a No.10.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Marmoush has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season and has scored 15 goals, while also laying on six assists. He has won 29 caps for Egypt, playing regularly with Salah at international level. It remains to be seen if the Reds will pursue a move if his compatriot does not leave.
