The forward had been suffering with the vomiting and diarrhoea-inducing bug, norovirus, but has since returned to training ahead of United's tricky trip to Anfield. His health will continue to be monitored by the club's medical staff, with his place in the starting line-up uncertain.

Rashford featured in the drubbing and will be hoping he will be well enough to make amends tomorrow afternoon.
