<p>A post on X from journalist Ben Jacobs said: "Understand PSG have freed up €225m-gross from Kylian Mbappe’s departure, including taxes and social security. WHAT THE REPORTS SAID

<p>After losing Lionel Messi in 2023, PSG are having to go through the pain of losing their second big star in as many years. While they will have the funds to rebuild, it is going to be difficult to build a squad capable of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kylian-mbappe-psg-exit-real-madrid-transfer-summer/blt0babc3165af5d51f" target="_blank">competing with the club Mbappe is heading to</a>. The Parisians are always expected to win Ligue 1 but they are yet to win the Champions League and the path to European glory is going to become a lot more difficult with the 25-year-old departing.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Napoli's Victor Osimhen is the top target to replace Mbappe.
