Julian Weigl says Jadon Sancho's cool demeanour on the field has made a big impact on Borussia Dortmund's playing style.
Sancho, 18, became the first Englishman to score for the German side earlier this month in a 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen, setting up two more goals in the same game.
Injury has limited Sancho to just 10 appearances for Dortmund since he joined from Manchester City, but Weigl believes his attitude is uplifting.
"Currently, we're set up very offensively, which obviously means that we concede some chances every now and then because our attackers will be attacking-minded in some situations," he told reporters.
"I also think that Jadon Sancho's carefree attitude helps us quite a bit because he doesn't worry but just plays football. We should keep that going."
Dortmund are still in the fight to finish second in the Bundesliga this term, but slipped up in a 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen on Sunday, leaving Weigl disappointed with the wasted opportunities.
"Of course, it's a bit annoying that we didn't win after having so many chances," he said. "Overall, it was a very exciting game with chances at both ends, but we knew that Bremen would get tired at some point in the second half because they invested a lot of energy into the first 45 minutes.
"They put in a lot of effort to fill the gaps but we knew that spaces would open up eventually if we just kept moving. Our game plan worked just as we had anticipated, but we were thwarted by a goalkeeper who had an excellent day."
Dortmund are two points behind close rivals Schalke in the battle for the runner-up spot and take on Mainz and Hoffenheim in their last two games of the campaign.
