Although he could not continue, the former Brighton star said "nothing will stop me" after feeling a "slight discomfort" during the contest - suggesting he won't be out for long.</p>

WHAT ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER SAID

<p>Mac Allister has proven to be an excellent addition since signing from Brighton in the summer of 2023 for around £35 million ($45.9m). The 25-year-old is a key cog in Liverpool's midfield and manager Arne Slot will hope he will be fit and available for their next match after the international break as they look to preserve their lead at the top of the Premier League.</p>

<p>Liverpool fans will hope Mac Allister is able to line up for them in their next Premier League match at home to in-form Chelsea on October 20. It remains to be seen if the midfielder will feature for Argentina during the international break.</p>
