Alisha Lehmann gets back to work! Juventus star links back up with Switzerland squad for Euro 2025 qualifiers

Lehmann, who recently followed <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/juventus-confirm-alisha-lehmann-transfer-boyfriend-douglas-luiz/bltf2156736ea619b50" target="_blank">boyfriend Douglas Luiz and joined Juventus</a> from Women's Super League side Aston Villa, has joined the Switzerland squad and started preparations for their upcoming Euro 2025 qualifying matches. WHAT HAPPENED?

The 25-year-old has had a hectic week as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/video-juventus-clone-alisha-lehmann-unveiling-clip-training-with-herself/bltfbc034ea675c7252#cs6208558c64560fb2" target="_blank">she put pen to paper on a three-year Bianconeri contract</a>. She also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/alisha-lehmann-swiss-stays-up-3am-watch-boyfriend-douglas-luiz-copa-america-brazil-lose-penalties-uruguay/bltd5ad664a2664359d#csaa5c8bc1c9e17d3b" target="_blank">stayed up until 3am</a> to catch Brazil's men's team in action in Copa America 2024 during the weekend. Unfortunately for her, Douglas Luiz and Co failed to qualify for the semi-final after going down against Marcelo Bielsa's Uruguay in a penalty shoot-out.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The former Villans star has scored just one goal in the current Euros qualifying round with her only strike coming in Switzerland's 2-1 win over Hungary in May. Switzerland are already assured of a place in the tournament as hosts.

The Swiss are all set to face Turkey first on July 12 in an away fixture followed by a meeting against Azerbaijan in Lausanne on July 16.
