Onana has come under criticism at Old Trafford since joining from Inter and Erik ten Hag is reportedly looking to bring in an alternative already. <a href="https://sport.quotidiano.net/calcio/lazio/rinnovi-basic-salernitana-0c9ad148" target="_blank">Quotidiano Sport</a> reports Provedel has emerged as a candidate for the Premier League club.

WHAT HAPPENED?

According to the report, United could make a bid for the 29-year-old in the January transfer window to ensure they have a quality option to rely on. The Italian has impressed at Lazio and made headlines across Europe this season when he scored a last-minute equaliser in his team's Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Provedel joined Lazio from Spezia in 2022 and signed a five-year contract with the Serie A side. He has played 72 games so far for the Rome club and has conceded 70 times, keeping 32 clean sheets along the way.
