Essentially, the English champions have signed an attack-minded player who should prove ideally suited to Pep Guardiola's brand of football, while at the same time clearing out some dead wood – a win-win.

After five seasons of scoring&nbsp;regularly for Atletico Madrid, the 28-year-old has been brought to&nbsp;Camp Nou to forge a lethal attack alongside&nbsp;Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.&nbsp;

The Frenchman has already scored twice, in Barca's 5-2 win over Real Betis, but having arrived for such a big sum, Griezmann has to fire fairly freely if he is to fully justify his transfer fee.&nbsp;

With Bayern Munich in need of attacking reinforcements, they've done very well to land Philippe Coutinho on loan.

Considering Liverpool were on the verge of signing Nabil Fekir for&nbsp;€60m (£55m/$66m) last summer, Real Betis have managed one hell of a coup by signing him for a third of that fee from Lyon.
While the Frenchman hasn't&nbsp;hit the heights of his 2017-18 season over the past year, he still played a hand in 16 of Lyon's league goals last campaign and has the potential to have a huge impact at Betis.&nbsp;

Indeed, he's already started the season strongly, scoring twice across his first three league appearances.&nbsp;

Voted the Champions League's best midfielder last season, Frenkie de Jong has moved from Ajax to Barcelona over the summer to add even more depth to the Catalans' squad, though the deal was agreed earlier in the year.
It's easy to understand why the Blaugrana moved so quickly to sign the versatile Dutchman. De Jong is still only 22 and looks set to only improve at&nbsp;Camp Nou with the likes of Lionel Messi in front of him.&nbsp;

After being frozen out at Inter, Mauro Icardi has secured a much-needed move away from Milan and now finds himself with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old scored 29 Serie A goals in the 2017-18 season before his club struggles began and arrives in Paris with Thomas Tuchel's frontline currently plagued by injury.

Though arriving on loan, PSG reportedly have a&nbsp;€65m (£59m/$71m) option to buy him at the end of the season – a modest fee should he fire freely in front of goal over the coming months.&nbsp;

Mauro Icardi: Inter to PSG (loan)

After bagging 22 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season for Lille, Arsenal can't be blamed for splashing the cash on Nicolas Pepe.
The 24-year-old was unstoppable in France and if he can channel that form in England, he'll give the Gunners a truly electric front three.&nbsp;

His first foray outside of France, Pepe's&nbsp;big transfer fee could prove a bit of a gamble but it's one that will&nbsp;pay dividends if he is able to step up this season.&nbsp;

One of the summer's most inevitable transfers saw Eden Hazard finally complete his dream move to Real Madrid from Chelsea.
The brilliant Belgian hasn't come cheap but the Blancos won't be complaining about the dent he's made in their bank balance if he produces his very best form.

After some concerns over his conditioning during pre-season, Hazard missed the start of the campaign through injury, so the pressure is now on the winger to hit the ground running when he returns to action.

After scoring the winning goal for Ajax in their Champions League quarter-final tie with Juventus last season, Matthijs de Ligt has now linked up with the Bianconeri, who beat off stiff competition from Barcelona and PSG for the signature of one of the brightest prospects in Europe.
The 20-year-old began his Serie A career on the bench, at Parma, and endured a difficult debut against Napoli last weekend but with veteran centre-half Giorgio Chiellini having been ruled out of action for months with a serious knee injury, De Ligt is now set to become the cornerstone of the Old Lady's backline.

The most sought-after teenager in the world, Joao Felix had&nbsp;several big clubs scrambling to sign him but it was Atletico Madrid that came out on top.&nbsp;
After a breakout season with Benfica, the 19-year-old arrives in Spain with plenty of expectation but even more potential.

The fee is historically big for one so young but, with a goal and assist already to his name in La Liga, it's clear the teenager is more than capable of living up to his price tag.&nbsp;
