<p>Manchester United have had a terrible start to the season and Ten Hag's problems are set to be compounded when the Red Devils take on the in-form Brentford as the Dutchman is going to be without five defenders for the Premier League clash. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p><a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/man-united-injuries-jonny-evans-33888696" target="_blank">The Mirror</a> have now reported that Ten Hag is set to place Evans at left-back for the clash against Thomas Frank's Brentford. As such, Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt will start in the centre-back positions and Diogo Dalot will slot in at right-back. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>For Manchester United, left-backs Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw, will not be available alongside centre-backs Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro for the Brentford clash due to injuries. Additionally, right-back Noussair Mazraoui has also been ruled out from action at least until November due to a minor cardiac operation. </p>
