WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Despite struggles at the club level, Reyna's Nations League performances proved he is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/gio-reyna-club-struggles-shouldn-t-keep-him-from-being-usmnt-starter-too-valuable-gregg-berhalter/blt93d4c53b269076cb" target="_blank">still a valuable asset for Gregg Berhalter's squad.</a></p><p>With only 39 minutes in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest since his January loan away from Borussia Dortmund, Reyna came into the U.S. camp out of form and lacking competitive minutes. However, he didn't play like it, and he likely certified his role as a part of the 23-man roster for this Summer's Copa America.</p>

<p>Reyna has five goal contributions in three finals for the USMNT. That's two more than ANY other player in U.S. men's history.</p>
