The ex-Barcelona and Liverpool star scored a brilliant hat-trick in a 4-3 win over Botafogo on Saturday, and the change is said to have occured after the game, due to fans chanting for him to remain at the club.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Tata Martino, Inter Miami's manager, has spoken previously of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/lionel-messi-luis-suarez-inter-miami-boss-tata-martino-ex-barcelona-star-already-in-plans-for-2024-mls-season/blta4337f9ec4edf08a" target="_blank">planning to include the striker in his squad for next season</a>. There have also been reports that Miami and Gremio have <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/inter-miami-josef-martinez-luis-suarez/blt30862945b1afc98e" target="_blank">already agreed a deal</a> for Suarez to move in the winter, but it remains to be seen if the Uruguayan will have a change of heart.

Suarez and Messi played in 258 games together for Barcelona. In that time, they were involved in 99 goals together, either scoring or assisting. It is an astonishing record, and one Inter Miami would sorely love to add to.
