The Portuguese club announced on Tuesday that the Red Devils had <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-ruben-amorim-sporting-cp-erik-ten-hag-premier-league/blt1692255b89292163" target="_blank">communicated their desire to pay the 39-year-old's release clause</a> but it is unclear when he will be able to start work.</p>

However, the <em>Mail</em> state that he may not be able to step into the United dugout before their clash with Ipswich Town on November 24.</p>
