Konan was always at ease while he kept Algeria's dangerman, Riyad&nbsp;Mahrez&nbsp;at bay. He was also part of the attacking personnel&nbsp;when Ivory Coast dominated and spent time in the opponents' half.

N'Clomande Konan - 7/10 

He gave Algeria an easy free-kick in the first minute when he roughly tackled Baghdad Bounedjah. He was lucky as Algeria failed to make use of the set-piece as Mahrez's delivery was blocked by the wall.&nbsp;He was, however, good and tactical as he kept Mohamed Belaili in constant&nbsp;check.

Jean Seri - 6.5/10 

The&nbsp;&nbsp;Bayer Leverkusen star was part of a formidable defence set up by Ivory Coast, who&nbsp;managed to eliminate the North Africans in a rather convincing manner.

Kouakou Kossounou - 7/10

His 11th-minute clearance saved Ivory Coast from going down. The defender was quick to clear the danger before&nbsp;Benrahma&nbsp;-&nbsp;who was lurking&nbsp;around&nbsp;-&nbsp;could take the ball and potentially&nbsp;score.He conceded a second-half penalty as he&nbsp;attempted to stop Belaili and was lucky not to have been sent off as he was already on a yellow card.

Simon Deli - 5/10

The full-back made a great tackle in the fifth minute to stop Mohamed Benrahma, who was surging towards the goal from the left wing.&nbsp;His pinpoint free-kick delivery gave the Elephants a perfect&nbsp;chance to double their lead just before the half-time break.

Serge Aurier - 8.5/10

The&nbsp;Sivasspor winger was a constant threat and gave the Algerian defenders a difficult time tracking him as he kept switching positions to hoodwink his markers.

Max-Alain Gradel - 6/10

Sangare tracked back when the situation needed him to do so, and this gave Ivory Coast numerical strength to deny Algeria space to exploit in search of goals.&nbsp;He scored Ivory Coast's second goal after a well-timed header six minutes before the half-time break.

Ibrahim Sangare - 9/10

The AC Milan forward&nbsp;broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute after clinical link-up play by his teammates.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was largely involved in the build-up to the second goal as well and was deservedly named the man of the match.

Franck Kessie - 8/10 

Could have done better&nbsp;with his seventh-minute chance, as he sent the ball over the bar after he received a pinpoint pass from Sangare, before he went on to provide an assist that gave the 2015 champions the lead in the 39th minute.&nbsp;The Arsenal forward&nbsp;beautifully scored the third goal for the&nbsp;West Africans as they condemned the reigning champions to a defeat.

Nicolas Pepe - 9/10

Provided&nbsp;an assist for Pepe to score the third goal before his own was ruled out by the VAR in the third minute of added&nbsp;time.

Sebastien Haller -  7/10

The midfielder was yellow-carded in the 72nd minute after he had just replaced Aurier.&nbsp;

Habib Maiga - 5/10

He came on for Pepe in the 85th minute when his side was already dominating.
