Sekhkhune captain Linda Mntambo left many fans with tongues wagging after sharing a picture of himself in a kilt, which is a traditional skirt-like garment won by men in Scotland.
While a section of the fans were impressed with the sense of fashion, others were not amused, insisting the former Orlando Pirates player should concentrate on football.
Some reminded the 33-year-old about Benni McCarthy's comments about South African players and their interests off the field a while ago.
"I think South African players have far more important things in their life than football. TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter seem to be far more important to these guys. Their image matters more than being the best player," the current Manchester United coach said.
