WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Shaw has played just 15 times for United since the start of the 2023/24 season, something that has been keenly felt by the Premier League giants. If he is able to play for the Red Devils soon, that will be a big boost to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ruben-amorim-new-man-utd-head-coach-red-devils-confirm-appointment-portuguese-boss-start-date-delayed-two-weeks/blt557a09768631c671" target="_blank">incoming manager Ruben Amorim</a>. </p>

<p>United's interim boss, Ruud van Nistelrooy, said on Friday that the club's injury problems are starting to ease.</p><p>"Christian [Eriksen] played 30 minutes and Mason [Mount] also played (in the 2-0 Europa League win over PAOK on Thursday)," he said. "It's beneficial for us and I'm happy that they're back. For the long-term absentees like Luke [Shaw] and Leny [Yoro] they are on the pitch with us."</p><p></p>

<p>While it remains to be seen when Shaw will be able to play for United again, his side host Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in a battle between 13th and 15th in the Premier League respectively. </p>
