The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/no-wonder-mary-earps-leaving-man-utd-women-kicked-out-training-facilities-accommodate-men-s-team/blt37d5026e884c21d7" target="_blank">women's team have been temporarily kicked out of their training facilities at Carrington</a> to allow the men's team to use the buildings while renovation work is carried out. The Red Devils are now looking for a new place to train and <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5614408/2024/07/03/man-united-women-training-facilities/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a> reports they have provisionally booked a reservation at the Football Association's (FA) facilities at St George's Park near Burton - 50 miles away from Manchester - for two to three weeks from July 29. However, the club have not yet made a final decision on the matter.

WHAT HAPPENED?

United's <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/mary-earps-man-utd-womens-football-sir-jim-ratcliffe-ineos/blt43eb9b1f0e702681" target="_blank">decision to move the women's team on a temporary basis has not gone down well</a> within the club. The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-pfa-concerns-womens-team-training-ground-controversy/bltcedc7704b530ae50#csd3753b7ae8f80466" target="_blank">is also concerned by the development</a>, with the union said to be seeking talks with the Red Devils hierarchy.

The treatment of the women's team has become a concern since new partial-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently admitted that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-sir-jim-ratcliffe-underperforming-womens-team-ineos/bltd5b6f04e7023f37a" target="_blank">his group have not given much thought to the Women's Super League side</a>, putting all of their focus on the men's team instead.
