Another of Arteta's unconventional tactics to motivate his Arsenal squad was revaeled when <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5490775/2024/08/08/mikel-arteta-arsenal-rebuild/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a> reported that the Spaniard hired pickpockets to steal from his players during a team dinner. The idea was to teach Bukayo Saka and Co. to be alert at all times - but Seaman believes it was a "weird" strategy.

From using a light bulb in a team-talk to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/arsenal-signing-mikel-arteta-training-dog/blt248f9af487938a25" target="_blank">adopting a dog called 'Win'</a>, Arteta isn't afraid to go to extreme measures to get his players in the right mindset to succeed. And <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/premier-league-manager-of-the-season-2023-24-power-rankings/blt39c0f485bc84231e#cs9397121481a6505b" target="_blank">he's done a fine job</a> in his five years in charge, but without a Premier League title the stories of these methods will continue to attract derision.
