The ex-Real Madrid defender joined United for a reported £41 million ($52m) in 2021 from Los Blancos but he wasn't the same force he was in La Liga. That was evident in the fact he is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/raphael-varane-confirms-man-utd-exit-video-reveals-what-he-thinks-about-sir-jim-ratcliffe-ineos-disastrous-2023-24-season/blt754aaa235558d94e" target="_blank">now a free agent and is looking for a new club</a>. It is likely he has several years left in his career, however, and more success could come his way.

During his time with United, Varane won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup in 2023 and 2024 respectively. At Madrid, he won three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and four Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs during a glittering career.
