<p>Enzo Maresca, on Monday, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/enzo-maresca-chelsea-us-pre-season-tour-trevor-chalobah-left-out-squad/bltb6c7cbf1efaa79f8#cs95dcc595d7fbd6b4" target="_blank">announced a 28-player Chelsea squad</a> that will head to the United States for their pre-season tour. The team, however, did not feature Blues' academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah who has been reportedly told to stay at home, according to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1815442823497351437" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a>. The apparent justification is a well-stocked group of right-sided centre-backs ahead of Chalobah in the pecking order: Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi and new signing Tosin Adarabioyo.  </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Now The Guardian's journalist <a href="https://x.com/ed_aarons/status/1815736455404134415" target="_blank">Ed Aarons</a> reports that the 25-year-old defender could consider moving out of Stamford in the ongoing summer transfer window as he felt that he was left out of the pre-season squad against his will. Chalobah, however, will not take any impulsive decision and instead would wait for the right offer. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The Blues outcast was earlier <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-chelsea-trevoh-chalobah-replacement-for-raphael-varane/blt0c92c758db91666b" target="_blank">linked with a move to Manchester United</a> as they were looking to replace Raphael Varane. The Red Devils, however, have now <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/leny-yoro-reveals-message-former-man-utd-starlet-angel-gomes/blt27559c30c9cd5d76" target="_blank">signed Leny Yoro from Lille</a> and are considering making a move for Bayern Munich and Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt. </p>
