<p><a href="https://sportwitness.co.uk/arsenal-most-interested-in-player-having-extraordinary-season-gunners-need-at-least-e40m/" target="_blank">Corriere dello Sport</a> claims Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old amid an 'extraordinary' season for Atalanta. The report adds Mikel Arteta's team are the 'most interested' in him but the Italian side want at least €40-50 million (£33-41.5m) for his services.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Arsenal tried and failed to sign <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-joan-garcia-espanyol-sold-in-future/bltc5712ce125f323fd" target="_blank">Espanyol stopper Joan Garcia</a> in the summer as a number two behind David Raya, before settling on <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/live/arsenal-transfer-news-and-rumours-today/bltf2c8f2dd89b3bb64" target="_blank">Beto from Bournemouth on loan</a>. The Gunners balked at Garcia's €30m (£25m/$33m) price tag and the same may be said for Carnesecchi.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Carnesecchi has had to be patient at Atalanta, a place he has called his own since 2018. He had multiple loan spells at Cremonese and Trapani in Serie B, before finally making his mark at the Serie A team from 2023 onwards.</p>
