According to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/live-blogs/transfer-news-latest-updates-live/5lOS2jKHbyo0/XAQ34nZtoRkR/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a>, Chelsea are close to agreeing on a deal in the region of £19 million ($24m/€22m) for the 18-year-old Villa prospect. Finer details have not been agreed but a deal is expected to be reached between the two Premier League clubs.

Villa and Chelsea have been in negotiations for the vast majority of the early stages of the transfer window, with Conor Gallagher and Jhon Duran touted as possible movers between the two sides.Left-back Ian Maatsen is expected to confirm his move to Villa Park in the coming days - despite currently being away at Euro 2024 with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/netherlands-euro-2024-squad-ronald-koeman/blt13e39a26df9a77fc#cs8bc93a0e9e43566c" target="_blank">the Netherlands</a> - with Kellyman going the opposite way to Stamford Bridge.
