Kane took to social media on Monday after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/bayern-munich-germany-legend-franz-beckenbauer-dies-aged-78/blt588758d2c01bdb2b" target="_blank">Beckenbauer's death was announced</a>, and joined a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/thomas-muller-gary-lineker-franz-beckenbauer-germany-thomas-muller-bundesliga-premier-league/blt8935087655c08acb" target="_blank">deluge of tributes from across the football world</a>. The former defender, of course, became one of the greatest footballers of all time during his time in the Bundesliga, and he won the league both as a player and a manager in Bavaria.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Kane quoted Bayern's own tribute to Beckenbauer and wrote: "In my time at the club so far it's clear what he meant to Bayern and to football in this country. WHAT HARRY KANE SAID

Kane only joined Bayern in the summer but has had a remarkable start to life in the Bundesliga. In 15 league games thus far, he has scored 21 goals. Bayern are currently second in the table, however, four points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen with a game in hand.
