Yamal is developing into a star at Barcelona, already racking up 40 appearances for the club at the age of just 16. He also has five caps and two goals for Spain, and with his star continuing to rise, he has revealed the strangest fan encounter he has had, with a female fan asking for his number unprompted.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Yamal has already made 14 starts this season, scoring four goals and registering six assists for Xavi's side. It is perhaps little surprise, then, that he is being approached by supporters in public.

Asked about his experiences with supporters, Yamal said in a sit down with YouTuber xBuyer, via <a href="https://www.mundodeportivo.com/us/en/soccer/20240323/682934/lamine-yamal-spills-tea-on-future-marriage-plans-and-fan-encounter-nrt.html" target="_blank">Mundo Deportivo</a>: "Recently, a girl approached me in an elevator, asked for a photo, and then said, 'Give me your phone number, I need it. No, I don't want it at all, I just want to have it.'"I was speechless, especially since we were in an elevator."

WHAT YAMAL SAID

Yamal is currently on international duty with Spain and came off the bench in their defeat to Colombia on Friday. He could win another cap next week against Brazil in their final international friendly before Euro 2024.
