While PSG are close to signing Benfica midfielder Joao Neves, they are still looking for an experienced player at the centre of the park.

The French giants, however, could be dealt with a major blow in their transfer pursuit of the German star as Kimmich is all set to stay at Bayern until his current contract expires next summer, according to <a href="https://www.leparisien.fr/sports/football/psg/psg-pourquoi-le-dossier-joshua-kimmich-sannonce-complexe-31-07-2024-XZ6AQA7LUZAJ3FY356UPRMPPSI.php" target="_blank">Le Parisien</a>. The Bavarian side, on the other hand, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/joshua-kimmich-bayern-director-doubt-germany-star-future-final-year-contract/blt2a6554934a7740df" target="_blank">would consider selling their star player</a> if he does not agree to put pen to paper on a new deal as they do not want him to leave for free next year. It is now up to the player to make a final call on his future.

The Bundesliga giants have added depth in Kimmich's positions - defensive midfield and right-back - in the form of Fulham star Joao Palhinha and Josip Stanisic, who has returned from a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen.
