Referee Michael Oliver decided not to point to the penalty spot for a foul on the pitch and the Video Assistant Referee cleared the incident with the same view. Well-known Manchester United fan Mark Goldbridge seemed to feel Liverpool were harshly done by as he said on X: "Unbelievable that at the end. Speechless. Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "This is a penalty for all football people on the planet. If you think it is not one then maybe you aren't a football person."

WHAT KLOPP SAID ABOUT THE INCIDENT

The draw meant that Arsenal have kept their lead in the Premier League standings, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference and one point ahead of Manchester City.
