The sources have suggested that Erik ten Hag's side are preparing a £17 million ($21.9m) bid for the Colombian as the Dutchman and INEOS have planned a squad overhaul following a poor 2023/24 season.

The source has also suggested that Palmeiras are not planning to budge easily despite knowing the value the midfielder holds in the eyes of multiple European giants, with AC Milan also reported to be interested in the talented player. The Alviverde do not want to lose such a key player in the middle of the season and are not open to negotiating.
