<p>Earlier on Saturday the club named their 26-man squad that travelled to Edinburgh to face Scottish giants Rangers in their second pre-season friendly match on Saturday. In their first friendly on Monday, the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/erik-ten-hag-rips-manchester-united-after-pre-season-defeat-to-rosenborg/blt3c4544e80c31a609" target="_blank">Red Devils went down 1-0 against Rosenborg</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Manager Erik ten Hag <a href="https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-squad-for-pre-season-friendly-v-rangers-in-edinburgh-20-july-2024" target="_blank">did not include</a> big names like Marcus Rashford, Antony, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof in the squad. Rashford and Maguire miss the clash due to niggles as the English centre-back has still not fully recovered from his injury, though he did join training this week.</p>
