Cristiano Ronaldo was reduced to tears after being stretchered off with a knee injury after just 25 minutes in the Euro 2016 final against France.
The Real Madrid forward picked up the problem following a challenge with Dimitri Payet and was forced off for treatment.
After heading back on to the field, the 31-year-old lasted just a few minutes more before he went off again to allow the Portugal physios to wrap a bandage around his left knee.
But the treatment wasn’t enough for Ronaldo to continue as he pulled up once again before signalling to Portugal boss Fernando Santos that he was unable to play on.
