- Ryan Reynolds reacts to 47th birthday present
- Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney vowing to build park
- Fellow actor Chris Pratt roped in for the skit
WHAT HAPPENED? Ryan Reynolds has posted his reaction to Rob McElhenney revealing plans to create the 'Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial Park' in Wrexham for the star's 47th birthday. Former Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt was even roped in.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: Reynolds and McElhenney have a habit of exchanging elaborate social media videos for each other's birthdays, but this appears to be a genuine plan to develop a real community space in the centre of Wrexham. It forms part of their wider vision for the club and the surrounding area since the 2020 takeover.
WHAT NEXT? According to parksandwrex.co.uk, "Yes, this is a real park - or at least it will be soon." And Reynolds hinted the plan is for it to be open around April 2024. On the pitch, Wrexham sit fourth in League Two, two points once place below automatic promotion.
