The club were linked with a move for McKenna, however, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5521846/2024/05/27/kieran-mckenna-ipswich-stay/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a> claims that the 38-year-old coach is all set to sign a new long-term contract with Ipswich.

WHAT HAPPENED?

McKenna joined the Tractor Boys in December 2021 after leaving his job as the Red Devils' youth coach. Within two and a half years at Portman Road, the manager helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

Chelsea had also shown interest in the English coach as they look to replace Mauricio Pochettino - who parted ways with the club on mutual consent last week.
