Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/manchester-united-sir-jim-ratcliffe-brutal-exodus/bltfa73bba32c50013f" target="_blank">are on a controversial campaign to overhaul the club's staff</a> and cut costs at Old Trafford. According to the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13675321/MAN-UNITED-CONFIDENTIAL-Red-Devils-Erik-ten-Hag-LAX-Los-Angeles.html" target="_blank">Daily Mail</a>, kit man Alec Wiley may be next on the list of redundancies taking place this summer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Wiley has been in place as the club's kit man since 2013 and is not the only long-serving figure to be pushed out as physios Richard Merron and John Davin are also reportedly on their way out, as are a number of youth coaches.

According to Rene Muelensteen, who worked as Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant at United, the club's identity is being abandoned amid Ratcliffe's many changes. The Dutchman told <a href="https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-redundancies-rene-meulensteen-29597587" target="_blank">Manchester Evening News</a>: "It was just a big, big family. It was a massive club that was growing year on, year on, with the greatest manager that England has ever seen at the head of it."It never lost its warmth.
