Ramos <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/sergio-ramos-lucrative-al-ittihad-offer-sevilla-talks-re-sign-former-star/bltf4ebf367d0bc4551" target="_blank">returned to former club Sevilla in September</a> after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. However, the defender is reluctant to continue with the Spanish side and his agent travelled to the United States before Easter to visit some MLS clubs, according to <a href="https://www.relevo.com/futbol/liga-primera/sergio-ramos-reacio-continuar-sevilla-20240409112646-nt.html" target="_blank">Relevo</a>. Ramos has also attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/al-nassr-reunite-ronaldo-real-madrid-teammates-sergio-ramos-luka-modric/bltb7576937b90fe8a7" target="_blank">Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr reportedly interested in his services</a>.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Ramos has played regularly for Sevilla in the current campaign, scoring seven goals along the way, in what has been a difficult season for the Spanish side. Quique Sanchez Flores was appointed as the club's third coach of the season in December following the tenures of Jose Luis Mendilibar and Diego Alonso. Sevilla currently sit in 14th place in the table but just six points off the relegation zone.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ramos is one of the few footballers to have played with both Messi and Ronaldo during his career. He spent a large portion of his career with the Portuguese superstar at Madrid before moving on to PSG. Ramos was joined by Messi in the French capital and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/sergio-ramos-glad-the-lionel-messi-suffering-is-over/blt9e1c28866e370ae1" target="_blank">admitted he was glad to finally be playing with the forward rather than coming up against him</a>.
